Hariyali Teej

Hariyali Teej is celebrated after Guru Poornima. At that time the fields of Braj are lush green color after the rains. There are great festivities in Vrindaban which go on up to Janmashtmi. During that time in the main shrine of the Temples a swing is placed for the Deities to swing upon; it is called jhulan leela. Songs describing the swinging leelas of Radha Krishn are sung.

Devotees prepare a swing, elegantly decorated with fresh fragrant flowers, and Shree Maharajji sits there. Swinging leela songs are sung as devotees lovingly push the swing. The vision of Shree Maharajji sitting on the swing in his beautiful green garments is heart enticing.
