Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj Leaves for World Tour

On March 14th, 2007, the Fifth Original Jagadguru in 5,000 Years, Bhakti-yog-rasavatar, Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj left india for a historic world tour.

After gracing the devotees in Hong Kong for a few days, Shree Maharajji flew to Singapore. One of his leelas there was to visit a lush orchid garden and pose for some pictures.

After flying back to Hong Kong, Shree Maharajji flew to San Francisco and the Northern California Bay Area to have satsang in a fortunate devotee's house for a few days.

Shree Maharajji plans to fly to Barsana Dham, Austin, TX on April 1st with the rest of his schedule undecided at this time. He may still travel to Trinadad, Canada, and the UK before returning to India.

This year, January 14th, marks the 50th Anniversary of Shree Maharajji receiving the Jagadguru title. We invite you to share in our joy and happiness on the occasion of Jagadguru Divas, Saturday and Sunday, January 13th and 14th at Rangeeli Mahal, Barsana, India.

On the auspicious date of January 14th,1957, our Shree Maharajji was honored with the title of ‘Jagadguru’ by the scholars of Kashi Vidvat Parishad in Varanasi, India. Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj is the fifth original (mool) Jagadguru in the last 5000 years. For the last fifty years, Shree Maharajji has showered the nectar of Divine love through his pads, kirtans, speeches and association, and has simplified the path to God realization for all the souls.

We look forward to having you with us for this historic event.

Shree Maharajji Arrives in Barsana Dham, Austin, Texas

Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, our Shree Maharajji, arrived to great fanfare and joy at Barsana Dham, Austin, Texas, USA on April 1st at about 6:15 pm. No one present could have escaped the overflowing Grace and happiness of the festive moment.

After Shree Maharajji arrived, he went straight into the prayer hall. Chanting of Radhey Name and dancing ensued as everyone's longing and separation was quenched by the loving smile and charming personality of Shree Maharajji. Then arti was offered to Shree Maharajji followed by arti to Ammaji.

Having just travelled all day from San Francisco, Shree Maharajji went to his bedroom to freshen up and have some tea. Ever so Gracious, Shree Maharajji told some stories of his travels to Shree Swamiji and to the few fortunate devotees who were present.

Wishing to allow us to come close and serve him, Shree Maharajji immediately called for those who wished to do Charan Puja. Our beloved Swamiji was first, followed by Shree Maharajji's daughters. After everyone had a chance to offer this seva to Shree Maharajji, he surprised us all by saying, "I want to go for some house visits. Who wants to invite me to their home? Right now!" Several devotees went running to prepare their rooms and homes as Shree Maharajji got up and proceeded first to Swamiji's room.

After visiting with several devotees in various homes around the grounds of Barsana Dham, Shree Maharajji came back to the prayer hall where the chanting quickly built to a rhythmic pace of happy devotion and feelings of milan. With the dhol pounding out a thundering rhythm, we all crowded closer and closer to Shree Maharajji while shouting "Radhey, Radhey" and dancing to express the joy which overflowed from our hearts.

Eventually, Shree Maharajji had us sit down again and catch our breath. A short cultural program of welcoming dances and songs was performed for Shree Maharajji. Then, with his signature "Goodnight!" Shree Maharajji left the prayer hall to rest.

Walking to her room, a pleasantly tired devotee commented, "Shree Maharajji has only been here for a few hours and yet has already created so many precious memories for us. Balihar!"

GRAND CELEBRATIONS ON THE OCCASION OF DEEPAWALI

Deepawali the festival of lights was celebrated here at Mangarh with devotees dancing and singing to the tunes of Kirtans praising Lord Ram. Deepawali means 'Row of Lights'. The name suits the festival well during which houses, streets etc. are decorated with thousands of lights. Here at Mangarh magnificent lights illuminated the Bhakti Mandir, the appearance place of Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj

After a captivating evening sankirtan devotees enjoyed a grand display of fireworks in the divine presence of Shree Maharaj ji.

Shree Maharajji Extends Stay at Barsana Dham

Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj has graciously extended his stay at Barsana Dham, Austin, TX until May 13th, 2007.

Due to Visa permissions related to countries he may visit after leaving Barsana Dham, his departure date has shifted a few times but has now been finalized as May 13th.

This also allows him to be here for Barsana Dham's annunal Mela (traditional Indian Fair and Open House) to be held on May 12th from noon to five. Shree Maharajji will participate in the festivities of the fair, which attracts 5-8,000 people to Barsana Dham. These festivities include Indian Food, Drink, Handi-craft and Clothing booths as well as riding elephants and ponies, games and rides for the kids, and a full Cultural Program of Indian music and dance.

Shree Maharajji Delights the Children at a Picnic

For devotees of the Western world, having the opportunity to have Shree Maharajji here at Barsana Dham is like receiving the legendary paras mani jewel. Indeed, it is a rare and golden opportunity for a sincere devotee to increase his or her devotional feelings.

One devotee quipped, "Although Shree Maharajji has only been here for a week, we have so many treasured memories that will last all our lives."

One event which many look forward to each day are the daily picnics with Shree Maharajii. During one such picnic, Shree Maharajji Graciously and playfully sat amongst the kids to their sweet delight and amusement. Later on, he jestfully distributed prasad to each fortunate child with his own hands.

Such precious memories of Shree Maharajji's visit here will surely linger with us for our whole lives…

In addition to enjoying the rich blessings of daily association with Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj at Barsana Dham, the devotees are receiving a deepened understanding of the devotional path clarified through the Divine talks of our beloved Guru.

Monday afternoon, Shree Maharajji gave an inspiring impromptu talk in order to clarify the pad kirtan "Nita Seva Mangun..."

Shree Maharajji explained that we should never ever desire for bhukti or mukti (worldly luxuries and liberation from maya) even by mistake. Worldly attainments (including celestial attainments) can never satisfy the soul so they are pointless. Mukti is equally useless because the one who has received mukti can never receive the chance to enjoy the bliss of the Divine leelas and association of Bhagwan. Shree Maharajji said that both bhukti and mukti are like demonesses which divert a soul from God. He quoted from the Bhagwatam and from the teachings of Shree Roop Goswami in order to emphasize this assertion.

Shree Maharajji concluded that the only desire a true devotee should have is to serve your Divine Beloved Radha Krishn (bhakti), since there is no fourth catagory of desire other than bhukti, mukti or bhakti... Thus bhakti, including the desire for seva, doing that which makes your Guru and Radha Krishn happy, is the only spiritual goal of the soul.

Shree Maharaj ji visits Shringaverpur Dham

Shree Maharaj ji graced Shringaverpur Dham a few kilometers from Mangarh. This is the historic place from where Shree Ram crossed the Holy river Ganga during His Vanvaas blessing Kewat.

He reached there at about 10 AM and was greeted by the locals with enthusiasm and great respect. He spoke at length for about an hour on their request about the leelas of Shree Ram.

Shree Maharajji Opens New Physiotherapy Department

JKP recently expanded its free medical services to rural villagers in Barsana, India, with the addition of a new physiotherapy department. The department was officially opened to receive patients when Shree Maharajji cut the ribbon. The new department will maximize the quality of life by providing rehabilitation to restore mobility, which has been lost by accidents, disease and old age.

Shree Maharajji cuts the ribbon to officially open the Naturopathic Department at the Barsana Charitable Hospital. The department uses a variety of natural remedies to cure disease without medicines or surgery.

Barsana Charitable Hospital has been serving the medical needs of the Brajwasis since 2006. The hospital is open 6 days a week, all year round. A qualified medical staff of volunteer devotee doctors, nurses, therapists and laboratory technicians provide all services at the hospital.

The Naturopathic Department at the Barsana Charitable Hospital. The separate wing is located on the hospital grounds, offering yoga and natural treatments.

Krishn Janmashtmi Celebrations at JKP Ashrams in India

Thousands of devotees from neighboring districts took part in the grand Janmashtmi festival held on August 14^th at Bhakti Dham, Mangarh, with Shree Maharajji’s Divine presence enlivening the occasion. Bhakti Mandir was elaborately decorated with displays of Shree Krishn’s appearance inside the shrine, and the exterior was lit with thousands of glittering lights.

On August 15^th Shree Maharajji traveled to Rangeeli Mahal, Barsana, where Janmashtmi was again celebrated with great enthusiasm. Shree Maharajji cut Shree Krishn’s birthday cake and did the arti to Bal Krishn in the swinging cradle.

Gokul Ashtmi was celebrated in Shyama Shyam Dham as Shree Maharajji was in Vrindaban on August 16^th, especially for the occasion. The JKP ashram has become famous for its animated display of Krishn’s appearance leela.
